“Not only does God play dice but... he sometimes throws them where they cannot be seen.” : Stephen Hawking
Quantum Entanglement explains that everything is connected to everything else in the universe and they both act and react on each other in unimaginable ways. This play of life at the quantum level is clearly beyond the reach of human mind. When a butterfly flap its wing in some part of the world, it causes an earthquake in some other part. To a restful mind this is universe in action. To a restless mind this is Chaos.
Chaos, which is unpredictable and proportionate change, is at the heart of all change and growth in the universe. Without Chaos, there is no growth in life. All innovation and out of the box thinking happens during period of crises and chaos. When we combine Chaos with clear thinking and higher purpose, something great comes out the process.
Everyone experience chaos in proportion to their mental well being and perspective of their internal and external world. Chaos, both individually and collectively, is a potential source to push us out of the comfort zone and develop new perspectives and habits in life. Once, we understand this, we can embrace Chaos and move forward in life.
To embrace Chaos means to stop overthinking,
stop over analysing, stop trying to predict everything. It also means to go ahead, take required
action, move forward in life and developing
new relationships
Once we accept the role of Chaos in our life, we accept it with grace and develop ways and means to utilise the same for our personal and collective growth. When this happen, we stop overthinking, stop over analysing and give up self doubt.
There are a number of ways and means to move forward in a chaotic world. Here are some strategies for moving forward with change and chaos.
A. Accepting the Chaos of Life is Better Than Trying to Fight it
Life has always been unpredictable and full of uncertainty. We just didn’t realize it. Life is always in a flux and with our beliefs, thoughts and actions we materialize things. Accepting this reality of our world is the most important way to learn to live well in it. Let go of your ego. Let go of trying to force order and perfection to an imperfect life full of ups and downs and uncertainty. Often, stress, anxiety and tension occurs when we fight hard to change something we cannot change. We can’t control the Chaos. We can only change ourselves. Our thoughts and our actions. Embrace the Uncertainties and Chaos as part of life.
B. One Thing Always Leads to Another
Like a stone thrown into a pond of water, somehow one tiny little step forward puts in motion other pieces, rippling away, leading you to places, people and opportunities that you can never have imagined. You didn’t get to where you are right now by your perfectly laid out plans years ago. So many of us arrived where we are through the zig zag motion of life, through stepping stones that were laid out all over the place. Some of the greatest things in your life right now, came to you by chance, randomness and luck, which is in fact a deeper level connection, unknown to our conscious mind.
C. You Are Meant for Bigger Things
Within each of us lies a potential for great things. Think about the possibility of becoming who you really want to become…a better parent, a better professional resource for your organisation, a better spouse or partner or simply contribute more to society. This great person will never be realized unless you take steps to move forward in life and do something different…to accept the Chaos and move forward anyway. All of us are meant to create positive impact to all those around us, in our own unique way. We must find our own purpose and path and be true to our self.
D. Chaos Forces us to Clarify What’s Really Important…and What’s Not
When you embrace the chaos and move forward in life, you get crystal clear as to what makes you more fulfilled, more satisfied and ultimately, more happy. Self discovery and self realizations happen during moments of confusion, clutter and consistent complexity when you’re feeling lost, headed for trouble. That’s when your mind gets really clear as to what’s the most important thing you want out of life. Because the mind cannot focus on all of those things, your mind suddenly awakens and hones in. For some of us, a big challenge or adversity that seems insurmountable at the time, jolts us to recognize what we really want. And for some people, it becomes less about the money…and more about the relationships, the family, the kids and good health.
D. Going With the Flow is a Lot of Fun
In a rapidly changing world, control is an illusion. We must give up the tendencies of the egoistic mind to control every outcome. In the universal design, everyone is important in its own context. We must stop trying to control other’s behaviour and action. We must learn to go with flow. As Lod Krishan told to Arjun, we have the right to perform action but no right over the outcome of the action. We must perform our deeds with pure and strong action and intent and then should leave the outcome to the will of the universe. Go with the Flow and allow the universe to decide with is good for you. At the end of the day, the universal mind is more powerful and versatile than an individual mind.
E. Alignment : Make sure everyone is working together towards the same goal.
Creative cooperation and not competition, is the foundation of all life in the universe. Competition separates and cooperation aligns us with higher purpose and the grand design of life. Our thoughts, beliefs and actions must be aligned with the energy of win- win situations, where everyone benefits from our actions. At all levels, we must strive to align and ensure that we all are working for the common good.
To sum up, to a calm and awakened mind, Chaos is a source of transformation and awakening. With a better perspective and tools like communication, clear thinking and alignment, Chaos is a good source to enjoy the change and uncertainties in life.
